Astute readers, by now, will have noted that we don't actually know that much about Jamie, other than what he's chosen to tell us. We've never actually seen his family, or, indeed, any of his friends outside of work before meeting Ellen. There've been fan theories in the forum speculating that he may be a robot or demon or misplaced time traveller.

I choose not to confirm or deny any of it at this time.

(Saturday evening, INT: EB and JH's living room, dark)

EB: What the hell do you mean, what's a Scooby-Doo?
JH: Um... I'm not familiar with-
EB: Bullshit. How would you not know that? Why would you not know that?
JH: How would I know why I don't know something I don't know?
EB: You are lying. You are lying right now about not knowing what Scooby-Doo is. Why would you do that?
JH: Okay.
EB: Okay?
JH: So I'm lying for some reason. We still have to write out the character on a character sheet, so you still have to tell me what the hell I'm playing.
EB: No, no character sheets. We're doing this stripped down. Two d6 for all rolls, three d6 if it's something your character is good at, one d6 if it's something you're bad at. No hit points, no one gets hurt in Scooby-Doo. You get captured, you just have to wait for someone to rescue you.
JH: Okay, so what am I good a-
NP: Jamie, you're a big ugly Great Dane somehow blessed with powers of cognition and eloquence. Your abject cowardice is outweighed solely by your gluttony. Shaggy is your best friend.
MH: And everything you say starts with the letter R.
JH: Roger. Ready.
