Bill Maher goes off on "the party of protecting feelings"

Postby Killjoy » Mon Jan 30, 2017 10:00 am

"Democrats have gone from the party of protecting people, to the party of protecting feelings; from "ask not what your country can do for you" to "you owe me an apology.""

"...what matters is that while you self-involved fools were busy policing the language at the Kids' Choice Awards, a madman talked his way into the White House. What matters is that while liberals were in a contest to see who could be the first to call out 'fat-shaming', the Tea Party was busy taking over school boards. Stop protecting your virgin ears and start noticing that you're getting fucked in the ass..."
Likes his women like he likes his coffee... a little sweet, a little spicy, a little strong, a little earthy, a little smokey, totally honest, and maybe a little offended by being compared to a beverage.

I'm not convinced this is a general issue. Republicans are often offended at violations of Christian morality, gay people, trans people, lots of stuff, and publicly show their dislike. This is just a general trait of humans, they get offended at lots of stuff.

The elections were lost for other reasons than a general trait of humans.
