Oh, that's easy. You call it a fishknife.

(For the longest time I couldn't tell the difference between a butterknife and a fishknife.)

Well, the definition of a screwdriver is: "a tool with a flattened or cross-shaped tip that fits into the head of a screw to turn it."

While the definition of a butterknife is "a knife whose blade has a blunt, rounded end, used for spreading butter."

Blunt, rounded end as well as a flattened or cross-shaped tip that fits into the head of a screw rarely overlap. If you handed me a certain instrument, yes it may fit in both categories, but the majority of either, by definition, cannot be called the other.

So, yeah. The analogy isn't totally valid.

It's made a little more dubious in terms of humans with jobs. But, most controversially, sex (as in, male/female, not as in doin' it) doesn't have such ambiguity as roles do.
