I'm reasonably certain that the phrase "it may be a logical fallacy, but it's true" has just made some people physically explode. This would be a good time to mention that I am not my characters, and their views and opinions are not necessarily mine.
I do agree with Ellen, though, that one of the essential hallmarks of maturity is categorizing one's beliefs (most of them, anyway) with something more nuanced than a black and white certainty.

(Monday. INT: apartment, Pinball is wandering around in the background)
EB: So... want to see my favourite verse in Leviticus? It's about infidelity!
JH: Ugh. No, I think I get the picture. So this is what you show to Christians to mess with them?
---------------
EB: Well, when I was a little goth shithead, yes. I got my jollies by trolling religious people in general. But then, you know, I grew up.
EB: I think anyone who's matured at all has to accept a certain amount of agnosticism about what they believe or don't believe, regardless of what it is.
---------------
EB: I mean, it may be a logical fallacy, but it's true - you can never fully DISPROVE the existence of God.
EB: ...You kind of have to define God as a virtual nonentity, but you can never completely DISPROVE that he exists.
---------------
EB: Plus, you know, I recognized that I wasn't exactly changing anybody's minds, I was just being a dick.
JH: Well, you were thirteen. It's kind of expected.
