Generally speaking, when playing Dice Farmer, I have found that Jamie's strategy is the better one. Usually. Obviously, while a large collection of d4s produces more possible configurations, it's also more likely to experience deaths.

And, for those of you keeping track at home, this is comic number 200. That's 800 panels! If you read these comics at a rate of one every fifteen seconds, you'd take 50 minutes to get this far.

0200-------------------------------------

(Sunday afternoon, INT: EB and JH's apartment)

JH: You know, I find this really interesting, from a game design perspective. It would appear that, although the outcome of every round is almost completely random, your choice of playstyle does gradually make a difference over time.
--------------
JH: They're only little decisions each round, but they add up. You kept holding out for the larger dice, leaving more and more to remainders, while I snapped up every d4 and d6 I could get my hands on.
--------------
(Ellen rolls)
JH: So now, you only have three dice to work with, whereas I've got two of the d20s I need, and a vast stable of smaller dice that make my victory on the next round all but inevitable.
--------------
EB: ...Unless I roll two tens and a natural twenty, like that.
JH (intensely frustrated): THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH EVERYTHING.
