0231-------------------------------------
(Wednesday, INT: EB and JH's apartment, MH entering)
MH: Hey, Jamie. Am I hearing this right? Your legal problems are all magically over, and you're not celebrating?
JH: I'm not really in a celebratory mood, Max.
--------------
MH: Jamie, I may not be able to put you inside of me, but I am fundamentally philosophically opposed to you not celebrating a windfall like this.
JH: Is it really a windfall, though? It's only a good thing because a bad thing happened before it. It only brings me back to the status quo. Less so, actually, since I'm still five grand in the hole.
--------------
MH: Life is a sequence of ups and downs, culminating in death. You have to take pleasure in the upturns, regardless of your absolute position on the graph.
JH: I didn't mourn my downturn, though. Do you think I should retroactively do that?
--------------
MH: I think you should call in sick to work, chug a bottle of Triple Sec, and make decisions.
JH: The only alcohol we have in the apartment is cooking sherry and vanilla extract, and I'll be damned if I'm drinking either of those straight.
