Given that Flipmode has symbolic significance re: the pentad's relationship(s), I wonder what we're to make of Wallace's rejection here.

Then again, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

(Thursday afternoon, INT: WW and SW's apartment)

JH: So... how much do you think it would cost to get a board, pieces, and a set of cards printed? Should we be doing pieces out of folded and glued cardboard, or can we get little plastic guys made?
WW: I dunno. To be perfectly honest, I don't know if this one is sellable.
JH: Really? Why not?
WW: The concept is a little too... game designery, if that makes sense. And given how many different improvements Simon and I were able to suggest off the tops of our heads, I can't help but think that Flipmode needs more time on the drawing board, and a lot more time playtesting.
JH: Oh. Fair enough, I guess.
SW: You've got a bunch of other board games, right? You can bring some other game over another day, I'm sure we can find one that'd be easy to sell and cheap to manufacture.
JH: Sure... I guess I'll just have to remember not to bring them over on a Tuesday.
SW: Hey, you can if you like, just make sure you make'em hot wax and lube-proof.
