0405-------------------------------------
(Saturday afternoon, INT: EB and JH's apartment)
NP: Okay, so one hour into our knitting session, and Ellen, you've managed to do five rows of twenty, nineteen, eighteen, twenty-one, and fifteen stitches each, at least half of which are either backwards or misplaced.
NP: Jamie, you've done about thirty rows, each of which has gotten tighter and tighter as you go up, until you managed to get your needles inside the ply of the yarn and somehow kept going, resulting in what I can only describe as the friendship bracelet from hell.
--------------
JH: ...So how do we fix it?
NP: Oh, simple enough. I'm going to show you a little trick. You know that tail we left at the bottom? Grab hold of it and grip really tight, then gently slide your holding needle completely out of the top row...
--------------
(NP yanks, both swatches immediately come completely unravelled)
--------------
NP: Now you get to start over!
EB: Haaaaaaate yooooooou.
