MH: Ooh, I know this one! He's a Deist! He was raised Pentecostal, and now he's a Deist.
GU: What's a Deist?

NP: It means he believes that a Divine Being exists, but not necessarily that there's ever been any direct meaningful contact between it and humanity. Basically, it's Christianity without the miracles.
GU: I'm... I'm not sure how to deal with that. I was prepared for "Christian" or "Not Christian".

MH: I'm assuming "Not Christian" was gonna be a deal-breaker?
GU: Well, yeah. I mean, not that I wouldn't invite a Hindu into my home for dinner, but I couldn't date one.
