I think Jamie and Max's exchange in the first panel works on its own.
I've had jellyfish. It was basically like strips of clear, unflavoured gelatin, served in a spicy sauce. If I wanted unflavoured gelatin, I could have made unflavoured gelatin.

(Friday. INT: apartment)
JH: So where do you stand on jellyfish?
MH: I try not to stand on jellyfish.
---------------
JH: Seriously, if it's the cruelty that's the issue, jellyfish might work for you. Taxonomically, they're members of the animal kingdom, but they don't have a nervous system.
MH: Okay, but where am I going to find a store that sells edible jellyfish in this town?
---------------
JH: We do a jellyfish dish at the Capsaicin Lounge. I could hook you up.
MH: Ooh! Ellen, your new man has connections!
---------------
EB: He's offering to get you an invertebrate, not have someone whacked.
MH: I'm sure he could do both, depending on how he prepares them.
JH: Nah, they come to us destingered.
