I have little patience for people - particularly unoppressed straight white cisgendered types - who take it upon themselves to be offended on behalf of some other minority demographic. I mean, if your local coffeeshop puts up a sign that says "whites only", by all means, get pissed off, but getting whiny over someone appropriating the term "long pork" just makes you look silly.

(Tuesday midday, INT: Capsaicin Lounge kitchen)
ChA: Good God, I'm so tired.
JH: Have another energy drink, we've still got four hours to go.
ChA: I don't suppose there's any chance I could get away with ducking into a closet for a quick nap?
JH: There's only two kinds of human in a kitchen: cooks and long pork. I suggest you stay on your feet.
--------------
ChA (drinking energy drink): Mm. Just so you know, I don't appreciate the pig/cop reference.
JH: It wasn't a pigcop reference, it was a cannibal reference. "Long pork" is the culinary term for human.
--------------
ChA: Well, I don't appreciate cannibal references either.
JH: I don't know if you can "not appreciate" that sort of thing if you're not in the relevant demographic. I mean, you're not a cannibal, are you?
--------------
ChA: Would you believe me if I said I don't actually know?
JH: I guess so. Supposedly it's called "long pork" because that's what we taste like, so if you've ever eaten bacon you didn't slaughter yourself, anything's possible...
