JH: So here's my timeline:
JH: Saturday night, the actual Richard Knight has his entire wallet, including ID, stolen by a man I shall refer to as Suspect X. X then attempts to do the same to me, I overpower him and call the police. X gives them Richard's ID and, partly because of the race thing, partly because I'd just finished tenderizing his face, he successfully passes himself off as Richard.

JH: X gives his sob story, the cops believe him and let him go. Because the papers just refer to him as a "minor", actual Richard never learns that he was, supposedly, the victim of an assault, but X knows that if the cops follow up, the game's over. He goes to the address on the ID, grabs the kid, doses him, cuts off his head, the body's messed up enough that no one notices the difference, all cases are closed.

ChA: Well... and I'm not saying that your scenario is likely or even possible... but if I was going to kill someone with a drug overdose, I'd use heroin or cocaine. PCP is both rarer and more expensive. Whoever the suspect is, he likely has connections to a PCP dealer or manufacturer.
JH: Yes, perfect, this is the kind of insight I need. What other nuggets of copply wisdom can you give me?
