One could argue that Freddy is not skilled at strategy. On the other hand, though, given his team's track record of eventual successes, it's hard to argue with results.

EB: The robed figure appears startled by your presence, it grabs a book from the shelf, then immediately appears to fall through the floor.
GU: I check for a trapdoor... six.
EB: You see no signs of a trapdoor. The figure has simply vanished.
NP: I'm not gonna lie. Playing this in a thunderstorm blackout and nothing but candles? Actually kinda spooky.

MH: Okay, gang, let's split up. Daphne, you and me will see what room is directly under the library. Velma, see if you can figure out what book the ghost took. Shaggy and Scooby, keep looking for-
JH: Wait, time out, we're splitting the party? Never split the party!

MH: In D&D, never split the party. In Scooby-Doo, always split the party. I'm Freddy, Freddy's the leader, I say we split up.
JH: Wait, you're the leader? I thought I was the leader.

MH: Why would you be the leader?
JH: I'm a miraculous talking dog and the show's named after me! Why wouldn't I be the leader?
