Rss feed stuck?

Postby hman » Tue May 06, 2014 9:02 am

Hi, is it just me or is the rss feed at http://www.rsspect.com/rss/leftoversoup.xml stuck on the 25th of April?

Yeah, that damn thing's given me nothing but trouble since day one. Next round of site updates, I'm pulling it.

 Weep
Rss is really useful. Rsspect recommends a webpage to rss google https://www.google.com/search?q=webpage+into+rss+feed.

Do you think you'll implement something "official" on your site again or should we test one by ourself?

In the latter case, any of you guys has positive experience with any particular of those services?

If anybody should be interested: I got a working Feed43 recipe. No I won't share my feed (because my edits would affect everybody using it and because I used a free account only) but here is the recipe.
Yes I was a bit liberal with parsing the current html - for example I'm matching a css class="rss-content" which could disappear soon. The result is quite nice.
Note: I didn't stuff the Ads into the feed as Project Wonderful isn't showing anything (to me, a the moment) anyway. Personally I will add it as soon as something shows up.

There we go, the dead RSS is officially pruned off the site.

But you still left the rss-content span in, thanks!

Following the steps that hman has posted, I'm happy to share this feed:

http://feed43.com/4888272440688468.xml

It's also set up for free, without an account, and I'm not going to tinker with it at all, as I wouldn't know where to start. If it disappears or stops working, so be it.
